    Voici une édition remastérisée de l'intégrale des ballets de Tchaïkovski qui était parue dans les années 1980 avec un Svetlanov au sommet de son art et un orchestre (encore soviétique !) , rompu à ce genre de répertoire. Résultat stupéfiant et dépassant largement, à mon sens, toutes les autres intégrales (y compris Prévin qui apparaît du coup, gentiment décoratif). Prise de son sans concession (très décriée dans les années 1980 pour sa rudesse) mais qui, pour moi, colle très bien aux options interprétatives du chef. Venons-y. respect absolu de la partition, pas de débordements sentimentaux mais du pathos, du vrai, "à la russe" c'est à dire sans vulgarité, sans épanchement hors de propos et de mauvais aloi, mais avec une urgence musicale sidérante : l'orchestre à des réserves dynamiques magnifiques qui "éclatent" de temps en temps et c'est de cela qui crée chez l'auditeur des émotions indicibles. Les phrases sont maîtrisées, les articulations nettes et franches. Bref ! Tout sauf une séries de bonbonnières pour petites filles bien sages. LA référence.
